New Team Member in Auckland

Living Turf is pleased to announce that Bevan Houghton will join our team from 13 March 2023.

Bevan comes to Living Turf, from a role as ‘Business Development Manager’ for Syngenta Professional Solutions, where he managed the development of Syngenta’s Turf & Landscape portfolio in the New Zealand market.

Rob Cooper, Living Turf CEO says, “Bevan has spent time with our team on roadshows and visiting clients, so he knows what Living turf is all-about, and he is like minded in his approach to improving the life of turf managers.  He will be a great addition to our North Island team, joining Joe Butler, Shaun Davies, Tony Evans, Oliver Tong and Matthew Spraggs”.

Bevan started his career back in 1997 at Whitford Park Country Club, completed his Level IV Certificate in 2000, and finished his apprenticeship at Maungakiekie Golf Club. He then went on to work at some highly regarded courses including Remuera Golf Club, Kerikeri Golf Club, and Akarana Golf Club where he worked for 5 years as Superintendent, with a team of 7.

Having already served a stint as Territory Sales Rep’ on the commercial side of our industry, Bevan is acutely aware of the pressure Turf Managers find themselves under.

Bevan says of Living Turf, “I am impressed by the depth and professionalism of the Living turf team, and excited about how I can access that to assist my turf colleagues and the New Zealand turf industry, especially in my home region of Greater Auckland”.

This targeted appointment continues the regional rollout of Living Turf’s unique offer – which blends technology, product, and agronomy expertise, to help green spaces flourish.
