Data Driven Turf Management

17 April, 2026

Soil testing between May & June (ANZ) makes sense for several reasons. Recent summer growth has completed its draw down of bound soil nutrients, turf growth has slowed & soil chemistry has somewhat stabilised. Therefore, scheduling soil analysis at this time gives managers valuable, & actionable data.

Of course, the key measures being tested are soil pH, soluble salts (type & concentration), macro nutrient levels, trace elements, and organic matter. However, it’s the way the data is interpreted and interrogated that determines it’s value.

At Living Turf we process soil tests, on your behalf, through the Turf Forensics® digital platform. Turf Forensics® tracks samples from the field, through the laboratory, then electronically delivers results to clients’ secure account, in a visually easy-to-understand format. Additionally, Turf Forensics® links clients to their sales agronomist, and allows for a number of value-added services – completely free of obligation or cost.

In the hands of our trained sales agronomists, Turf Forensics® will accurately calculate amendments to optimise soil chemistry, using your choice of 3 interpretation models, with Living Turf’s preference being MLSN (Minimum Levels for Sustainable Nutrition) – Click here.
