Turf Ryegrass - for winter durability

CARAVELLE breeding pre-dates the introduction of endophyte to turf ryegrass varieties. Originating from Scotts breeding program, this tried and trusted variety posesses excellent colour, vigour and forms a dense attractive sward.

In a transitional climate like Sydney, CARAVELLE is an excellent option for winter overseeding and presents less aleliopathy (toxicity to neighbouring grasses) than modern turf ryegrasses.

RELIANT II has excellent germination properties with cold weather germination down to 5°C. Bred in Christchurch, New Zealand, this premium variety originated from plant collections taken from old sportsfields in Barcelona, Spain. The germplasm was screened at trial sites throughout NZ and Australia for year round growth, colour, density and disease resistance.

RELIANT II offers a balance of winter and summer activity for year round performance. It has shown exceptionally strong performance in hot, dry conditions, while the level of winter activity provides goodwear tolerance and competition to invasive species such as Poa annua. With a mid to dark green colour RELIANT II also aids in disguising Poa annua infestation and is suitable for a variety of sportsturf.

FRONT ROW BLEND is a three way mix of NZ bred and grown ryegrasses, to provide winter activity for ongoing repair in high wear situations.

Some grounds just get hammered in winter, with playing schedules that far exceed their logical carrying capacity. That is where FRONT ROW BLEND comes into it's own. It provides the best chance to produce a surface that copes with excessive wear from team sports.
